Inquiry Reports

Introduction

This report focuses on candy and where it comes from.

Body

Candy is a food made out of sugar, water or milk. Sugar is at the top of the pyramid, fats, oils and sweets provide lots of calories and very little nutrition. The carbohydrates in chocolate, cola contain sugar or simple carbohydrates.

The body digests sugar quickly which causes a rapid rise in blood glucose. Sugar rots your teeth, causing cavities and eventually it will make your teeth fall out. This is why you brush your teeth. Sugar (especially sticky candy) sticks to your teeth eating away your enamel with the bacteria causing dental cavities and tooth decay.

Conclusion

In conclusion, candy is full of sugar and should be eaten as a treat.
