Introduction

This report focuses on one of the most common causes of a human body, the hiccups. The hiccups play a large part in the human body. This report will cover what are the hiccups, what causes the hiccups and how to cure the hiccups.

Body

What are the hiccups? A hiccup or hicough is a contraction of the muscle repeating its self several times a minute. In a human the abrupt rush of air into the lungs causes the epiglottis to close creating a hic sound.

What causes the hiccups? Hiccups are mostly caused by food, either an odd mix of ingredients or a certain kind of food. It is also caused by laughter, spicy foods, eating too fast or signs of being hurt.

How do we fix the hiccups? Ordinary hiccups are cured easily with home remedies such as giving the person a fright, holding their breath, and having a teaspoon of vinegar and more. If you have the hiccups and coughing up blood it could lead to sudden death or serious lung treatment.

Conclusion

The hiccups are an everyday thing and happen to nearly everybody. You can get very deep hiccups and very light hiccups. I hope I have helped you with this report.
