Cross Country
The day had finally arrived. I was so nervous that my tummy had butterflies that were flying around. I needed a lot of water. Before the race I needed to go to the toilet.
Then Mrs Tornquist said “come to the finish line” .Then she said “on your marks get set go”. After she said it felt excited. My nerves were gone away and my butterflies were faded as well. I felt tired when I got on my second lap. When I got near the finish line everyone said “go Daphne, go Daphne, go Daphne”. My family was proud. I was proud that I came fifth. After the race I drank cold water and ate barbeque shapes. In the race I ran as slow as a snail. When I got home I just wanted to sleep. I couldn’t breathe. It was fun though.
