The day had finally arrived. I was feeling like I was about to explode with excitement. When everything was quiet, all I could hear was my heart beating. My legs were shaking like a Chihuahua. Mrs Tornquist said “Ready, set, go!” Clack goes the clackers. Off we went zooming like a drag car. The tracks were slippery and had small bumps in the grass. It hurt us but we held on and kept on going to the very end. When I ran through the funnel I heard everyone cheering “Brayden, Brayden, Brayden”.

I was relieved that I had come fifth place. When I showed my dad he said “I can’t believe it, I might faint”. We both laughed together, and he said goodbye, and I did as well. Then he left. I still couldn’t believe how good I was. My legs were tired now. I recon that was the furtherest I have run.
